Women, child and girls are highly being attacked by acid in Nepal in these past recent years. 2019 Acid Attack raise as highly as heavy rain falls in monsoon. Acid attack in Nepal is brutally thrown towards the face of the girls because of many uncertain reason for example; rejection of proposal of love

It was the Sept.6, 2019: A teenage girl suffered burn injuries after two youths threw acid on her while she was going to her school in Birgunj. According to the DPO (District Police Office) Parsa, Muskan Khatun 15, was critically injured after the youths threw acid on her at around 6 am at Ganeshman Chowk area when she was on the way to school from her home at Chapkaiya. The acid attack victim was referred to Kathmandu for further treatment after she underwent primary treatment at Narayan Sub-Regional Hospital in Birgunj.( MyRepublica.com.np)

According to the NEPALI TIMES, Sangita magar is one of the strongest survivors of an Acid Attack. In her case she has gone through Seventeen surgical procedures on her face. Another victim was Das sister. Sushmita Das, who was injured with her sister Samjhana in an acid attack in Rautahat last year in a Kathmandu hospital this week. She was featured on the front page of Nepali Times of 28 September 2018. Her sister Samjhana died of multiple organ failure 12 days after the attack. The perpetrator, Rambabu Paswan, is in jail facing a murder charge.

Burns Violence Survivors (BVS) Nepal has been helping an average of 250 patients with burns caused by fire and acid every year. Many are women burnt by in-laws for not providing enough dowry, but the organization has also been helping victims (almost all young women) who have been subjected to acid attacks by husbands, jealous and spurned men or in-laws. Acid is corrosive and damages human tissue by eating through the skin into the muscles and bone. The healing process is also longer than for survivors burned by fire, and acid attack survivors need specialized care.
