------------ CONCLUSION Social Work, with its focus on enhancing the total well being of individuals, groups and communities, is a noble profession that can contribute towards the inclusive and sustainable development of nations at the local level, which in turn can promote a just and sustainable international community.  Governments and international agencies must recognise and include social work professionals in every sphere of developmental administration and human resource management and support the endeavours of voluntary organisations as well as educational institutions in moulding committed and competent change agents. ----------------

                    METHODOLOGY The objectives of the study were: To find out the opportunities and challenges faced by social work trainees in class room learning process. To explore the opportunities and challenges faced by social work trainees in field work practice. To find out the importance and relevance of contextualized social work practice in Nepal with special reference to the methods of social work An explorative research design was chosen for the study undertaken on  “ Opportunities and challenges for Social Work Trainees in Nepal”. So far no research studies have been conducted in Nepal on social work trainees. A 53-item Questionnaire designed as per the objectives of the study was used the major tool of data collection . I.                    INTRODUCTION The International Federation of Social Workers states that social work “recognizes the complexity of interactions between human beings and their environment, and the capacity of people both to be affected by and to alter the multiple influences upon them including bio-psychosocial factors”. Social work is a Profession which helps people to overcome challenges of life such as poverty, discrimination, abuse, addiction, physical illness, divorce, unemployment, educational problems, disability and mental illness. Social Work education thus needs to train the learners so that they are enabled to understand self, to develop capacity in the use of self and external resources while dealing with clients.
